Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information Letter Loot collects, how it's used, and your rights as a player.

Information we collect

Letter Loot collects the player name you voluntarily enter when submitting a score to the leaderboard. We also collect your score data (haul amount, words found, rank, and game mode) when you choose to submit it. No account registration or email address is required to play.

Local storage

We store your player name and personal game history in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-enter it each session. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted unless you choose to submit a score.

Leaderboard data

When you submit a score, your chosen player name and score details are saved to our database and displayed publicly on the leaderboard. Do not use your real name or any personally identifying information as your player name.

Analytics

We may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand how players use Letter Loot, improve gameplay, and identify technical issues. These services may collect information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and approximate location. Google processes this information according to its own Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Letter Loot may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.

Email communications

If you voluntarily provide your email address, we use it only to send the information you requested, such as updates, newsletters, or announcements about Letter Loot. You may unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your email address.

Cookies

We and our third-party partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site and, if advertising is enabled, to serve relevant ads. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

Third-party services

Letter Loot is hosted on GoDaddy infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited technical information with service providers that help operate the website, such as hosting providers, analytics providers, and advertising partners.

Children's privacy

Letter Loot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

California privacy rights

California residents may have additional rights regarding their personal information under California law. If you have questions or wish to request deletion of information you have submitted, please contact us using the contact information below.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any leaderboard entry associated with your player name by contacting us. Since player names are not linked to accounts or emails, please include the exact name and score so we can locate the record.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Letter Loot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
